(00:00) skin is the biggest organ in the [Music] body kids these days are very sharp cosmologically perfect man kids are wearing makeup to the school where will you stop it so biggest factor influencers with [Music] respons it can eventually become cancer
(00:56) yeah very very simple two announcements first announcement thank you thank you very much for supporting us 15,000 subcribers in four months is not a [Music] joke keep supporting us and keep loving us and keep sharing it with people second announcement [Music] sunscreen very [Music] [Music]
(01:47) and it's understand [Music] [Music] influen
(02:34) [Music] so if you want to understand more about your skin if you want to change your behavior podcast hi and welcome to backing Dr DTI welcome to back hello uh one of the most requested everyone wants to look [Music] good want to look
(03:24) [Music] good misconception [Music] we thought we can bring a expert and expert ever want a dermatologist so one of the reason why you are here is one of you the top dermatologists in Hy so thanks for being here so before we go any further how would you introduce yourself and Industry interesting we'll start from there is it okay uh hi I'm Dr Atri dermatologist and almost h8 to years practi so my clinic name is Clin DM which is in Road number
(04:11) 12 Banjara Hills so the most important thing what I like about the clinic or like interesting that is every patient who comes so we build a relation with them we have a with them family they no more like you know patient or a client or something first time after half minutes we share a very good bond with the clients actually so that is the most interesting and fun part for me at least like you know on a everyday today basis skin is the biggest organ in the body so bottom top down I think U top down top down hair
(04:56) and them yeah hair is the biggest issue 2 old friends products food potion okay [Music] perception yeah so main men and women factors especially
(05:45) water water soft water hair or maybe I did not come across anything like that potion yes 3:00 4:00 we are Foodies Hyderabad is the first obesity Capital also so we are as such Foodies very odd timings food but food ha not much okay so maybe deficiencies so at least
(06:38) is some stress to the body it's an indirect this thing main thing this is because of gentics balding it's in the genetics products now about the products I don't know
(07:27) like so it's all marketing I feel you have to balance styl long-term usage of Chala hair styling devices especially I'm seeing men they're straightening the hair uh not temporary straightening or so permanent [Music]
(08:18) straightening after months seven months but contributes overall growth of the healthy hair so styling will matter more than just products I [Music] feel straight hair is pretty so lot of people think that lot of people are like you know shifting that Hair Botox C protein def don't know months8 months or 10
(09:05) months because the amount of chemicals formal deide they use and the heat 270 340° what they take it up to for sure will be breakage okay tell me about this early stag andly white so actually gray hair one main reason deficiencies
(09:50) again3 B12 TSH even I think stress stress play a major role in gray hair overthinkers there are certain people overthinking natural personality type because when I did so much research for gray hair I realized it only nutrition there is something called neurological mechanism hair color prod or skin color prodell neurological mechanism so when you're so much stressed it can
(10:35) happen gray hair and the second thing Dage skin rashes pigmentation so we have some very minimally concentrated or chemical based hair D but as and when like you know after 30s and 40s usually now salt and pepper look thankfully is okay but yeah Mund people
(11:22) were not ready actually right and [Music] so technically speaking right it's truth yeah now if I think about it yeah maybe it's about the stress an yeah how much stress you are taking for the body and actually Green Lea vegetables will help diet especially like you know green leafy vegetables bright fruits and vegetables % people they get back to their original black
(12:08) hair who respond well they don't respond so for them unfortunately there are not many options I think science is advancing even something new molecule might come commercially marketed shampoos okay why is it not good no commercial sh shampoo
(12:54) mechanism that's all any shampoo is same but the at the root shampoo and be smooth and silky whatever these are all I feel gimmicks marketing gimmicks yes anti-hairfall shampoo like it can't control hair because Ro cannot solve your problems but
(13:42) because or also who is the right person dermatologist only only dermatologist okay have faith in your dermatologist go ahead because espir or anything it's a long-term treatment there is no shortcut one month two months follow
(14:28) days regrow only at least like you know5 to8 cm per [Music] month we cannot be in most of the times I'll tell come back after 45 days to two months m in the cases where I feel okay mon better but whatever we give so I think only dermatologist can help you right
(15:12) yeah mainly hair loss and most of the times only that so nine out of 10 people have PCOS these days women yes yeah and by the time most of the scans 80% of the scans will
(16:24) come positive or tests will become positive by the time while realize 22 23 [Music] key right so next is ice we started observing people dark C and is it just because
(17:24) of facial musles are very complex con okay so after a certain time it's a facial aging most of theg treatment okay the other option or other thing is dark circles C it cannot be so the
(18:22) moment aging start okay pigmentation that is a different thing so so that is a first sign so pre-diabetic that is a first sign where pigmentation use it is not going to help that is hormonal hormonal imbalance kind of
(19:11) pigmentation that is okay benefit but the main thing there are separate injections for that what we do so this is whole in about dark circles actually before we go further because speaking perfect man perfect man or wom man will go to
(19:59) women also corally speaking perfect man allow I think skin wise men or women clear skin unali this is what people think again clear skin unali any tone is pretty or handsome okay justs nice okay and features symm it will look very attractive feel is more important but having said
(20:48) that anaging or like little bit cosmetic procedur we try to achieve symmetry but total symmetry is impossible and uh I would not suggest also I feel so most of the actors they maintain like the clean skin clear skin they maintain that symmetry proportions for it fits in the frame beautification basically so all these are some things which we consider so ratios no lip ratios jawline like you know little bit when it
(21:34) comes to cosmetic proces we consider our ratios we try to do that lifted ey system eys ORS so any male or F the way they carrying themselves symmetry proportions and all but I feel every human being will look good it's just a few things like you know if they want they can correct [Music]
(22:26) it yeah I think this is a very good question they want to look good they want to be presentable any Min also they're like okay but that's where they can draw a line I would suggest and the second thing is 50% of the women are doing for someone else beat in inlaws husband there are cases talk just not thinking
(23:11) about the doctor of this what do you think about it I thinku okay fine why did you think of it okay I feel very [Music] bad or friends even friends also like
(23:57) friends is not like the same positive thing I feel bad actually because borderline races very borderline racist let's be very Frank here on very borderline races yeah we are very beautiful we are people again
(24:44) perception it's just movies movies I would say that's what uh with all the fashion industry with all the culture of the western culture basically I think it's changed pretty much but like if you're getting upset because de even where will you stop it even newn
(25:38) babies so it's in your head so these are all minor things but actually they impact because kids these days are very sharp self a lot school I'm seeing now school kids are wearing makeup to the school and I mean I don't mind unless there is like you know there should be a
(26:24) limitation right like only with makeup on are getting very frustrated and issu but it is starting at home and like you know in the school also a lot of people like you know especially 13 to 15 but genetics are like that you cannot
(27:12) compare it's not possible a at aess is all gen or like the next gen basically they will feel to an exams are all like okay not a problem is difficult but I think that's Indian mindset cultur that has to still change but Lily 20s above 25 above I'm seeing they they liking their skin tone
(28:00) we like Dusky skin we like brown skin also Global ambassadors like prian I think showing some impact for sure it should get better yeah pimples 31 and I thought stage where body is [Music] maturing but I don't think that is right what is the situation with pimples yeah
(28:45) only pubertal age group during that transition especially boys like you know testosterone increase out during that pubertal transition so hormonal basically receptors something like a cup okay when the testosterone goes and binds and all CH o production pimp this was from before but 25 and everything is not developed yet from 123 longer you keep
(29:39) it adult onset I think it's become a major issue now one more reason is PC it's all hormonal and additional thing is diet I think diet plays a major role is it like so many much lifestyle changes and hormonal issues that's what so when I was uh doing my fellowship in uh Thailand actually very nice SK yeah food is very raw food but they maintain a lot don't wait they start their
(30:30) anti-aging from 25 luckily we have good collagen but while skin quality is different what's collagen so collagen is an ingredient or like you know uh what do you say substance which binds the skin it's a main integral part of the entire skin bones also it's not just skin so it's it's a binding Factor col yeah did not see only that is a different thing so pimp but because of the lifestyle changes of food or hormonal and in South
(31:17) India adult onset increase mainly hormonal and additionally like all these especially dairy products I think the P Tre Farm has been so much adulterated okay was good but anything related to milk products after that you can stop because calcium havei that has more calcium protein you have other sources of protein say 60 70% will
(32:04) have and even also still okay two three mons it's easy right stop some deserts slow milk ice cream slow milk I think deserts and ice creams are like you know those are the guilty pleasure even for me I'm not saying no but but when you know sugar definitely but sugar you age faster because of sugars also certain like you know Fine Lines wrinkles andum like pigmentation issues
(32:50) happen because of the sugars spicy food spicy food we are uh reason okay unless someone has rashes spicy we ask them to avoid it's a proper [Music] dermat PR is better than basic very basic cheap and best routine a what is the good routine like to maintain their skin skin yeah for
(33:37) skin good cheap and best hair sorry skin routine yeah so I think so many dmats are like you know United sunscreen is the first thing even I vouch for it a onscreen morning why is it see soly movies she used to be very dark yes do you think it's just because of the creams no she why is it we can definitely do a
(34:29) study on this 10 15 years only sunscreen so that's misconception or like you know bad promotion actors and actresses should not do see now this generation is very smart don't fool around with saying some no it doesn't you cannot achieve that you are doing some procedures not only K her definitely and I think suana also big names all are big names even in Telo industry there are lot of people who do certain procedures whatever Reon
(35:15) okay only some people are open so basic even I tried pushing my dad and mom at least okay God basic B sunscreen okay start a sunscreen faceh faceh is for cleansing the face gentle
(35:58) cleanser otherwise face wash use however you comfortable with okay faceh okay soaps are definitely give me some ideasap and also beautifully marketed products they are balanced okay is which is established
(36:51) thing it's not a company which maintains the pH ingredient basically Okay C s are very good okay but it is damaging mhm it is damaging the top layer of the skin so as much as possible gentle cleanser CED bars they will but it will still cleanse very nicely or we can do on are good they want to maintain also
(37:39) as I told already know so in the night Mo you can maintain the skin you can avoid so many procedures on later part of your life unwanted tan or pigmentation fine lines and wrinkles texture dehy so on a dayis will be helpful for sure so according to you uh sunscreen is important yes wash your face face wash third
(38:25) [Music] serum that's for boys boys but I'm seeing 30% men are actually like you know they like it they want to do it but unless they girlfriends or wives or someone tell I tell you who will put it right now people are done with the breakup they'll definitely do it to go to the next person so yeah how do we see the ingredients FDA clear so FDA for people who do not know is the board which governs all of this stuff right FD clear as a regular Cen even a common body we can get
(39:09) educated on this so Cosmetics you can still them IDE manufacture face wash or sunscreen I'll release the product it's very easy yeah it's very easy now there are so many companies yeah and even in Hyderabad I have seen few and one more worst thing which is
(39:54) happening in Telangana and Andra Pradesh is unnamed that's the sad State we are in this St at least a reason why it is happening so those are all what do you say unethical creams for the face what do you mean unethical what does it happen in just unethical cream skin will become very prone to cancers your skin will become very prone to so label reading is very complicated
(40:49) okay sometimes being doctors we also have to research inred yeah so for normal people unless they are into M chemistry side or like you know someone who is formulating but they add extra ingredients for stability purpose right okay for example parab stability purpose C but it gets contaminated so label reading is little difficult only I would say I don't think so it is always possible see now like I'm I've been doing marketing for past six [Music]
(41:40) this is [Music] basic is going to be fantastic now that is what influencers are doing yeah okay [Music] the because is a good did a very very smart thing Muki I think you [Music]
(42:36) [Music] so biggest Factor at this point of influencers yes with great power comes responsibility responsibility because it's all PR initial stages they do they try out the creams and all but you do something related to makeup why do you want to do something related to skin care who will take the responsibility you're not taking any responsibility see this is not your for why do you want to like involve and give
(43:21) some suggestions so influencers also keep messaging procedure or like this thing even I thought okay that is a thing okay but I have seen OK Clinic multiple clinics the same thing is happening so to consider influencer marketing for my clinic I thought twice th okay say who are like a good word of mouth or like you know pres or like you know they don't do some fake stuff all friends who have little more followers I ask them okay do you want to collab for this thing most of the times it happened like that only and whomever
(44:07) I collabed they're all genuine they don't give free skincare advice and all they're not into that at all so influen how their genetics is different their food is different and where they come from is different forget all that the lighting is different the lighting is different edits same thing with actresses edits everything is different but influences are playing a very strong role uh native language for examp but do you think or do you think no where is a guarantee from coming from marketing background coming
(44:52) from marketing agency very clear I'm very very honest about this and but the thing is [Music] what because people losing money yes similarly Heth important yeah influen [Music] it can eventually become cancer yes and this is the reason why how do you combat
(45:38) this because I'm Prett morning and even I think there lot of lot of cases soine but worst thing is doctors are not great at marketing we are already occupied with so many things like you know at least like you know I have like my own circle of friends who are doing but know we do something what we can do we are not good with that right so we can do to a certain extent so we can uh take the community to one extent but we can't change everyone's mindset but definitely we are there and we tell
(46:25) them because some people like it it's called laying R water all this like some XYZ things okay if you're comfortable if it is not damaging your skin you follow certain Trends okay but the moment you see it's not suiting or something you have to stop it just because influencer you can't continue same sorry you can break down best three basic things for hair okay I think and shampoo or good cleansing
(47:10) shampoo a good shampoo which will not damage your hair or something weekly two to three times okay do not oil your hair yeah why not so nowadays what we seeing is like SC so usually we suggest we have better products so we don't advise okay yeah and the third thing hair
(47:57) or minim these three are enough right that's a good hair care routine anyone can follow now tell me this okay this is a very personal question like [Music] open break down your economics okay [Music] so I think if they have their own Clinic same own practice after two to three years five to seven lakhs per month easy M if they're big and established name 40
(48:48) years they can get easily 10 to 15 or 20 lakhs also and there are people who get 50 lakhs per month also volume volume but volume age I mean practice expence experience and how you treating also matters I think nowadays I should add marketing also so when you Market yourselves well and you're doing a good job yes volume like it goes but for a beginner after 3 4 years or 2 to three years 5 to seven lakhs if you have your own practice right Market how do you Market yourself I think
(49:33) marke [Music] because [Music] when two sides one is ethical marketing one is non ethical marketing right um they doing it the right way M they don't overpromise yeah right yeah marketing promise yes [Music] PR uh as from the customers point of view how do you
(50:18) differentiate see ethical marketing uh is time taking yeah brand building time obviously 100% or 90% respond but 100% 100% so when we don't promise more or when we assure lesser results automatically so when we under promise or we actually
(51:08) tell practically 50 to 70% so we don't want to talk about those things basically but it's taking time one more thing is nowadays social media presence is important I feel for the doctors okay fine but there are some Hospital senior doctors long videos explaining the concern and all that so at least some kind of social media presence I think uh
(51:55) this generation will need for sure otherwise it's very difficult and uh second thing is we don't want to compete with cosmetologist triology and all the only competition consider them I I'm not like you know worried oh what what will happen I don't compare I'm happy now but I know I can treat them and I can give them the best what their body can respond right I understand that so much
(52:43) money this resp internet too much nonsense yes too much uh false data [Music] expc yeah and particular I to tell if I have to if I'm reaching out because you'll be sharing it with your friends yeah one thing I want them to do is just start creating content which is right yeah start calling out people who are wrong one point to this is uh actually money
(53:33) is a secondary thing which comes as a flow for doctors they don't want to like you know make in they're already in that Loop of okay put Patient next Patient next surgery next what is a commitment and responsibility so they are in the loop already money comes as a secondary thing okay so these people are not making content because it's not like or because it doesn't come like a mule memory like natural thing so even when I started making videos it was like so that was the kind of mentality I had but eventually I got used to it okay
(54:14) it's a video sort of so that's the difference so but when they talk and again doctors are so harmless people they take the blame most of the times I have seen some cont Ries also but most of the times especially dmats very harmless very um subtle and like you know because we value the relations more so when it comes very antibiotics or any doctor that's how it is there I'm not blaming or anything so doctors are so harmless they feel like if we are calling out we are having a peaceful life let's just be with it like that that's a kind
(54:58) of mentality which I see like all around like you know even my colleagues or seniors or anything before we leave uh give us audience give our audience three tips to maintain yeah you told us skincare routine healthare but apart from that three tips to maintain our health our skin Health work out at least four times a week and every time you work out make sure 30 to 40 minutes any form of workout you enjoy eat well it's not like you you should not uh eat outside or you should not consider junk or something make it
(55:31) once in a week once in two weeks keep your lifestyle clean and healthy the third thing is when it comes to specifically skin care use a sunscreen and use an anti dandruff shampoo if you have dandruff otherwise a simple basic cleansing shampoo basically don't go by all the marketing trends of like no this no that no this know that keep it very simple which takes you a long way and you have to be cons are very important when it comes to skin because it's all gut related it's all exposure related and it's all genetics
(56:09) related right yeah on that note thanks doctor thanks for being [Music] here and we want to go into specifics on this but thanks for giving your time thank you so than for breaking on a lot of topics over a period of last 1 Hour 1 and a half hour [Music] people because you easily understanding for example hair but I'm surprised how educated people are also falling for the Trap sometimes yeah because educated people okay I'll tell you this this is a fun fact
(56:53) okay we fall for marketing easily yeah people there is so much misinformation out there because we do not we not in a position to do that because you do not have the technical knowledge also storytelling is also working when you create a story and like you know put it in front of the audience yes s has always been working right it still works ask someone to stop that's what the answer comes U I think we also should Mark it maybe yeah I think yeah right on that
(57:41) note thanks doctor thanks for being here
