(00:00) How much pleasure can this world contain? If you get even a taste of the happiness in that dimension, then you will not care for any pleasures of this world. This is the absolute [music] truth. It is not necessary to assue anything, any pleasures of this world. Only try to establish contact and hold on to the other dimension.
(00:22) Whatever is redundant will fall off of its own accord. Divine happiness, even the tiniest particle of it never leaves one again. When one attains to the essence of things and finds one's self, this is supreme happiness. When it is found, nothing else remains to be found. The sense of want will not awaken anymore, and the heart's torment will be stilled forever.
(00:50) Joys and sorrows are timeborn and cannot last. Worldly pleasures are fleeting. They come one moment and are gone the next. Happiness that depends on anything or anyone turns into sorrow when that particular thing or person is out of reach. After genuine contemplation, worldly pleasures become unalluring, dull, entirely savorless. But here is the great teaching.
(01:15) It is not necessary to eskeew anything, any pleasures of this world. only try to establish contact and hold on to the other dimension. Whatever is redundant will fall off of its own accord. Anandaima never asked us to fight our attachments or force ourselves into renunciation. Transformation means that worldly interests have lost their hold.
(01:41) To the extent to which one becomes indifferent to worldly pursuits, will one progress towards real bliss. This indifference is not forced. It arises naturally from tasting something infinitely greater. She encouraged performing worldly duties while remaining unattached to the outcomes. All that you do to maintain your life, your everyday work and play should be done with sincerity, love, [music] and devotion.
(02:08) The key is to direct your love toward the divine while fulfilling your responsibilities. The path is simple yet profound. Out of the 24 hours, how much time do you give to God? Turn your attention inward through prayer, meditation, [music] or constant remembrance of the divine. When there is real meditation which evokes indifference to the world, you will begin to pine keenly for the divine.
(02:33) You will hunger for it and realize that nothing transient can appease this hunger. As you establish contact with that eternal dimension of pure bliss within you, an effortless transformation occurs. What no longer serves your highest truth simply falls away, not through struggle, but through the natural pull of something infinitely more beautiful and real.
