(00:05) If one would ask what is the nature of desire to Ashtavakita's sage the answer would be even more radical. He would not speak of transforming desire. He would question the one who desires. He would say desire belongs to the mind and you are not the mind. Desire arises because you imagine yourself incomplete.
(00:25) You seek fulfillment in objects, relationships, achievements, experiences. But this seeking is based on a misunderstanding of your own nature. You are not lacking your pure awareness. From ignorance comes identification. From identification comes craving. And from craving comes bondage.
(00:45) The moment you see clearly that you are the witness, untouched, whole and free, desire loses its grip. Not because you fought it, not because you disciplined it, but because you recognize it as unreal, like a ripple in a vast sky.
