Ganapati is the most ancient goddess worshipped since the Vedic period, she is known as the master of ganas, king of sounds, and Shabdabrahma as Pranava form. "A" sound is for intelligence and "N" sound is symbol of knowledge.
Among all the mantras, among all the Bija letters, which are the reasons for power, "Omkaram" is the first pronounced "Omkara". Therefore, this Ganapati is described as Omkara form in "Ganapatyadharva Seershamu". The moon that is formed by letters - Guru, Laghuvu, Purnanuswara, Ardhanuswara, is the master of the magical sounds that come out in the form of sound is this "Ganapathi". Apart from that, "Brahmanaspati" means leader of Vedas.
Ganapathi is the form of Vishnu :
Shuklambaradharam Vishnu
Sashivarnam square!
Prasannavadanam meditation
The omnipotent peace!
Here Vinayaka is called as "Vishnum". He has been told as Vishnu. Vishnu means omnipotent, status maker. In addition to that, Sri Mahavishnu himself made Ganapathi pooja to be performed by the gods of milk and ocean.
Ganesh Puranam and other Puranas are suggesting to us that in the beginning of the Goddess Ganesh Purana started with Gananadhuni before the beginning of the Deities. Once upon a time Ammavaru was fighting demons before the beginning of creation. Even before humans are born, it is said. Ammavaru thought of Parameshwaru. And he was right there. Their looks are familiar. Vigneshwar was born for the combination of those looks. Such an old man. His name is Mahaganapathi. Now we are worshipping that Mahaganapathi incarnation in every fiction.
